Microgreens are often used in restaurants as an ingrediënt to add flavour or colour to a dish, to complement the taste or make the food look more appealing. There are many different kinds of microgreens in a big variety of flavours.

In the outside greenhouse, the following species were grown:

  • Radish
  • Peas
  • Blood sorrel
  • Mustard
  • Kale
  • Chard
  • Broccolicress



To grow these microgreens we have used Cocos Substrate. This is a high quality substrate composed from coconut fibres that originate from the bark of coconuts. The substrate has been developed for direct use.

It also contains a plant based fertilizer, with nutrients that stay present in the Cocos substrate after fertilization and can be gradually absorbed by the crops.
